Photographs of the T-26 Light Tank
This section is dedicated to pictures of of the T-26 light tanks and all their variants. As with everything on our site, the pictures here are all authentic and were taken at the time the tank was in service. We will put descriptions with as many of the pictures as we can so that a greater understanding of the T-26 light tank can be gained.
An snow covered T-26 In this picture you can see a late model T-26 tank abandoned in the snow. Many other T-26 tanks would share the fate of this tank as the Germans advanced more rapidly than anyone expected. The location and date of this photo is not given, but it was taken by a German soldier serving in Russia during the war. |
Three captured T-26 light tanks This picture was taken by a German soldier on the Eastern Front. It shows two early model twin turret T-26's in the foreground and on the right rear. A late model single turret T-26 in the left rear of the picture. This photo was probably taken in Winter 1941 as few T-26's survived past that date. |
A destroyed T-26 light tank This unfortunate late version T-26 was knocked out and abandoned somewhere on the Eastern front, probably in 1941 or 1942. This photograph was taken by a German soldier, but has no specific date or location. |
A pair of abandoned T-26 light tanks Here we have another scene of early Barbarossa. Two late model T-26 light tanks can be seen on this road being photographed by a German soldier. The lack of radios and training was part of the cause of the early defeats of 1941. |
