The TT-30/33 Tokarev
Pistol in Pictures

This section has many high detail pictures of the TT-30/33 Tokarev pistol. Virtually every part of the weapon is photographed and described.  Our example is a TT-30 pistol made in 1934.  To go to a specific part of the weapon simply click on the desired section below. I should warn you that these pages can take some time to load.

The Weapon and its Parts

The TT-30 Tokarev is shown in the pictures below.  The example we have obtained is a little worse for wear, but will be cleaned and refinished soon.  It is seen at right in an almost completely disassembled configuration.  Except for replacing parts, there is no need to disassemble the weapon to this extent.

The Front and Rear Sight

This section details the front and rear sights of the Tokarev.  The picture to the right show the proper site picture when aiming the TT-30/33.  The picture below shows the front site of the weapon, while the bottom right picture shows the weapon's  rear site.

The Handgrip and Magazine Well

The two pictures below show the details of the texture of the pre-war handgrip (which is made of plastic).  Wartime versions had wooden grips. After the war the grips were made from plastic once again.

Barely visible in the center right picture is the CCCP and star cast onto the handgrip.  Pistols with wooden grips do not have these markings.

In picture above gives a good look at the lanyard loop, and the base of the weapon with the magazine removed.

The photograph to the right shows the markings on the rear of all TT-30 series pistols.  The later TT-33 pistols do not have these markings.  When we obtain a TT-33 we will show them side by side for comparison.
