This section is dedicated to pictures of of the IS-2 heavy tank.  The pictures here are all authentic and were taken at the time the tank was in service.  We will put descriptions with as many of the pictures as we can so that a greater understanding of the IS-2 can be gained. As with many things on this site, we have very few pictures to show here, but more will be added as we acquire them.

    

A pair of Stalin II heavy tanks at rest

In this picture you can see two Stalin II heavy tanks.  A crewmember of the lead tank is taking a break and leaning on the turret.  This photo did not list where or when it was taken.

 

 

Stalin II tank in a European city

Here is an excellent photo of the front of a Stalin II heavy tank in some European city.  The size of the tank can be seen by comparing it to the men standing on it.  The muzzle brake can also be seen in detail.
