This page is dedicated to pictures of the 2A3 'Kondensator' 2P self propelled howitzer.  It should be noted that these pictures are Cold War originals in our possession and were taken at some time when the vehicle was in active service.

 

 

Kondensator Close Side View

This original Associated Press wirephoto was taken during the Red Square Parade on November 7th, 1957.  It shows the first public appearence of the 2A3 Kondensator self propelled guns.  They were intended to show the might of the Red Army, but they were soon to be obsolete in the coming age of long range missiles.
