Organization of a Naval Infantry Regiment The Regiment is the basic
unit of the Soviet Naval Infantry forces. It contains a wide variety
of elements that allow it to perform a variety of missions. The
regiment can be broken up into four major sections based on their
function. The first is the maneuver component which are the primary
units used to engage the enemy. Organic artillery is the second
component. It consists of all forms of supporting artillery that
moves with the regiment. Specialist units are the third major
section, and support elements are the fourth and final element of the
Naval Infantry regiment. |
