T-62 Main Battle Tank |
This section is dedicated to pictures of the T-62 main
battle tank. They will focus on all aspects of the vehicle in
Soviet and foreign service. All of these
photographs come from the Sword of the Motherland Foundation's
private collection.
T-62 in transport This T-62 is being transported on a heavy trailer. No date or location was given with this period photo, but the white markings on the tank are consistent with the invasion markings used during the suppression of Czechoslovakia in 1968. These can be seen as the white patch at the front of the turret and the white stripe along the back of the tank. |

Ammunition Resupply In this picture you can see a T-62 crew loading more 115mm main gun ammunition from a GAZ-66 truck into their tank. The tank holds 40 of the cartridges seen in this picture. Close ups of the headlights and turret lights can be seen here. No date or location was given in this Soviet photo. |
