Ob' Class Hospital Ship

This section is dedicated to pictures of the Ob' class hospital ships.  Our pictures are Cold War originals and were taken at some time when the ship was in active service.  We will add more photographs as they are acquired, but until then, will do our best with what we have.

 

Two Close up pictures of the Ob' in the Pacific

The two photographs below were taken by a US Navy patrol aircraft on 1 March 1983.  Both show many details of the Ob' hospital ship.  You may also notice that both photographs do not match up as the aircraft was turning when it took the second picture.  You can find the center of the boat by noting the large red cross on the deck in both pictures.
