MVD Service Patch (1992-1994) (1)

This patch is used by the Ministry of the Interior forces between 1992 and 1994.  It was identical to a Soviet patch adopted in 1990, except that it removed the letters 'MVD CCCP' which were at the top of the patch.

The provisional patch was used until the new regulations of 1994 replaced it with a new Russian Federation patch.

MVD Unit Patch

This patch is used by the special tactical troops (known as OMON) of the MVD.  It was made official some time after 1994.
