This section has many detailed color pictures of the PMN anti-personnel land mine, many of which have never been seen before in unclassified Western sources. These pictures focus on the fuse area of the mine. This is where the large metal safety ring keeps the mine from being activated. The picture on the left is what the fuse well looks like from the outside. The picture on the right shows what it looks like when the cover is removed. The two tiny pieces of metal are the remains of the delay mechanism that was cut when the mine was activated. There are no markings on the sides of the PMN mine. | |

The pictures in this section detail the area around the detonator assembly. The top photo is a close up of the detonator area, note how different it looks when compared to the fuse well. The bottom picture shows the cap when it is removed from the mine. The detonator would be placed inside this hole before the mine is placed and activated.
