The Medal for Valiant Labor Effort was awarded to civilians who devoted their efforts to the achievement of victory. This included workers in the factories who built the plains, tanks, and rifles, and the farmers who made sure there was enough food for the soldiers. Without their efforts victory could not have been achieved.

The Partisan Medal 1st Class was awarded to partisan fighters, leaders of partisan detachments, and organizers of the partisan movement during the Great Patriotic war for courage in the struggle to liberate the Soviet Union from behind the lines of the German invaders.

Partisan Medal 1st Class The award book for the partisan medal is shown in the picture to the right. They were originally presented with a temporary certificate, but in 1948 this was changed to a regular award book. This medal was awarded to in 1965 for efforts during the war. |

The First Class Motherhood Medal was awarded to those women who raised six or more children. Mothers who adopted children, or who had lost children who were fighting in the defense of the Soviet Union, or who had lost children who were saving lives (firemen, police, etc) could also be eligible for this award. No ribbon was ever issued with this award.
